This mod is for CubeCart 4. Are you looking for a similar mod for CubeCart 3?

This mod allows your customers to enter free text into input fields when adding a product to their basket. This mod has many uses including customization/personalization of products, specifying gift card details, etc.

Features:

The text input fields are unique to each product - for each product you can setup as many text input fields as you choose.
Any information entered into any text input fields will be recorded with the order - it is displayed on the checkout pages and shown in the admin area of the store.
If required fields have not been filled, error messages are displayed dynamically within the page with a slick fade in animation affect (try the demo)
Each text input field can:
- be a single line input field or a multiple line input box (of any size);
- be set as optional or required (if 'required', text must entered before product can be added);
- have an optional character limit (single line input fields only).

Limitations:

These text input fields cannot have an extra fee associated with them, but you can achieve this by adding product options to the product.

Fixed problem that had arisen with CubeCart 4.3.9 onwards. Problem was that regular product options (and textbox/textarea options created in Admin -> Product Options page) weren't being listed in the checkout pages when the product was added to the cart.
Documentation (user guide) has been moved online so that it is easier to maintain/improve. Troubleshooting info will also be available online.
Removed instructions that attempted to explain how to install to custom skins that have the jQuery javascript library instead of the Prototype javascript library. This includes all of the skins available at shopdev.co.uk. Clients using these skins should please purchase our mod installation service.
Rearranged installation instructions.

Version 1.7

Fixed compatibility up to CubeCart 4.3.8 versions. The problem was that text input fields were not handling input containing quotes (')
Improved compatibility with skins such as Catalyst or Neutrino that use the jQuery javascript library instead of Prototype. However if you use these skins the installation is more COMPLEX than usual, consider our mod installation service.
New feature - store administrator can easily see if a new version of this mod is available.

Fixed minor bug affecting all CubeCart 4.2.3 stores with this mod - when customer clicks the Add to Basket button for a product, then later clicks the same Add to Basket button, the quantity is not being accumulated. (E.g. 5 of Product A in basket, add 2 of Product A to basket, final basket quantity will be 2 of Product A)
Added debug / test mode. Previously debug / test mode was on at all times and customers with very old browsers may have seen popup javascript alert messages with debugging information. Now this debugging can be switched off following successful installation.

Fixed incompatibility with PHP 4 web servers - "Fatal error: Call to undefined function htmlspecialchars_decode()"

Fixed problem affecting CubeCart 4.2.x stores where some characters were no longer handled/displayed correctly, e.g. - single quotes (') would be displayed as ' - ampersand (&) would be displayed as & - double quotes (") would not be removed from the text
Also fixed bug where extra text input information (from previous orders or products previously added to cart) would be added to a product that they didn't belong to.
Increased size of product options box in Admin -> View/Edit Order page
